NDA:
The National Defence Academy is the joint defence service training institute of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services i.e. the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force train together before they go on to respective service academy for further pre-commission training.
NDA exam comprises questions from two subjects: Mathematics and GAT (English and General Knowledge). For NDA, candidates should be between 16 to 19 years. They must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board.
SSB:
Services Selection Board (SSB) is an organization that assesses the candidates for becoming officers into the Indian Armed Forces. Actually, the difference lies at the level of qualification and expectations. If you clear the NDS examination and pass the SSB interview after that, you will be commissioned as an officer only after 4 years of total training.
